josh

Josh Duncan, Lead Pastor

Josh started with The Grove as Lead Pastor in May of 2017. His passion is to see people reach their potential in Jesus as they become disciples who can multiply disciples. He believes each person can make an impact for God’s Kingdom where they live, work, and play. Prior to coming to The Grove, Josh served as a youth pastor in two different churches, planted a church in Knoxville, and served as a Lead Pastor in Michigan. He also coaches church planters through the Ignite Church Planting Network. Josh is a graduate of Tennessee Tech University and Liberty Theological Seminary.

He and his wife, Jennifer, have two boys, Kaden and Kolton. Jennifer is an RN. Kaden is a sports enthusiast who plays baseball and basketball. Kolton is a marine biologist in the making and can tell you anything you want to know about ocean animals. As a family, they enjoy hiking to waterfalls, camping, and all things related to the Tennessee Vols and Atlanta Braves.

David Middlebrooks, Associate Pastor for Worship Ministry

David brings humble yet focused leadership style to our team and church. His passion for seeing the church worship Jesus together is quickly noticeable as you spend time with him. David is a talented vocalist, and we are blessed to have him leading The Grove into our next season of worshipping Jesus during our Sunday morning services. David and his wife Megan are newly married as of September 2018. David is originally from South Carolina, but moved to Tennessee many years ago. He enjoys playing volleyball, and he bleeds orange, but it’s a Clemson shade of orange rather than UT… We won’t hold that against him though.
